Signs of Nature

Signs of Nature was founded in 2007 but I've been engraving stone since 1997.  It all started when we couldn’t find a memorial that was affordable and personal and classy for our beloved dog Buster when he passed away.  The Veterinarian wanted to charge us an arm and a leg for a piece of  plastic made in china that looked like a rock and had a little brass plate that we could put his name on.  I knew I could do better.  Being an artist all my life I decided to try to work with real stone as a media.  We wanted more than just the standard overpriced wooden and brass plaque or urn.

Unfortunately we only had one good picture of our pet.  Eventually pictures fade.  I wanted to create something that would stand the test of time.  Our only picture became a beautiful artistic expression and a memorial that had an elegant look that could be used for anyone.

Soon after I created my first piece, my friends and family wanted me to create different stone art for them. I learned how much the mortuaries price gouge grieving families for stone memorials. I started to quickly realize the value of having an affordable product that would last forever. The possibilities for signs that need no maintenance are endless. When I started receiving phone calls from nice people I had never met asking me to create art for them.... Signs of Nature was born!

Nature has etched her beauty into the stones over millions of years compressing different types of stones and colors together for beautiful results.  Natural stones are like your fingerprints each and every inch is different from the next and no two stones could ever be the same.  I pick the best most beautiful stones I can find and etch my artwork on them.  I complete all artwork, engravings, and paintings by hand, and not by machines like commercial monument companies.  I take pride in everything I do from hand selecting every stone and creating the art to seeing the appreciative and happy faces of my clients.  I have a passion for nature and creating art and I have been an animal lover all my life.  Let me share my love for art with you.

Our team

Our team consists of me! My name is Jeremy and I am a stay at home dad who has a passion for creating art that will last forever. I worked as a graphic artist for Stanford for several years.  I've also worked as an artist and I worked in construction as a union electrician before I found my true passion.  I absolutely love what I do and I put that love into every step of the creation process. It doesn't matter if you buy a small stone for $10 or a large one for several hundred; I treat you like family. You practically are family because when you buy from a small business like mine, you are not helping a CEO buy another vacation home. You are helping a little girl get dance lessons. You are helping a mom and dad put food on the table, a family pay for mortgage, or a student go to college.

My daughter is my heart and inspiration. My inspired creations full of love make my clients happy. Happy clients give referrals and repeat business, which to a small business is EVERYTHING! Your referrals and repeat business enables me to continue to feed my beautiful little source of inspiration. So the circle of our ever growing family continues. Thank you all ♥
